A good eye for design is always helpful, but since the art will be 100% computer generated, you don't need to be an experienced designer to craft stunning AI art. What's most important is learning how to word your prompts in order to create what you see in your imagination. If you'd like to create any products using your AI art, a basic understanding of an image editing tool like Photoshop or Canva is required to make any necessary adjustments and prepare your images for printing. (Or you could hire a professional designer to help you turn your art into a finished physical product.)

This depends on the platforms you're using to create your AI art. The platforms recommended in this course currently allow unrestricted commercial use (exceptions apply to free Midjourney trials). Always make sure read the licensing information on each platform carefully to be certain you can use your AI art for the purpose you intend.

AI art is an experimental technology that is still very much in its infancy. While AI can create a wide variety of absolutely stunning images, it's not perfect. Some types of images will be easier to create than others. The trick is to be open to experimenting (a lot) and discover the techniques that work for you while also evolving with the fast-changing possibilities that each platform offers. With that being said, it's amazing how far many of the newest AI art models have come within a very short period of time (often a matter of months), so it's very likely that they'll continue to get better and better at a rapid pace.

Most AI art platforms offer a variety of plans, some of which are free. Typically, the higher priced subscriptions include more images you can create on a daily/monthly basis as well as other additional features that may be useful depending on what you intend to create using your art. Deep Dream Generator offers some very generous free options once you've reached certain creative goals on the platform. Midjourney, one of the most popular platforms, offers a free trial; after that, subscriptions begin at $10/month.
